OK since I'm obligated to write in English I'll have to do it although this review is worth a penny to non-Latin people.

I can't remember very well the drama of this soap opera. I was around the same age as Ludwika and Gael. The truth is that I only started watching it cause I liked Ludwika's performance in Carrusel as Maria Juaquina and because I liked Mexican television at that time... Well and in reality Mexico is one of the top soap opera makers.

I think the chemistry that existed between the two actors (Alejandra y Daniel) was magnificent, and the story very cute between the two children and his grandfather. I also remember that this program gave Ludwika an air of good girl after that roll she had in Carrusel. Reputation of good girl that didn't last too long since almost all rolls she's had have been of bad girl (yeah, add rich girl there also) or similar, but you have to admit that she does it very well!

Work of Art

Soap Operas or telenovelas as we say in Spanish tend to be shallow, though this one is deep and a materpiece. The children actors are superb especially Ludwika Paleta, Flor Gurrola and Gael Garcia. The direction is very well done. Although it is a series for children, there are a lot of adult topics like cheating, fraud and law terms. That's good because you can enjoy it as a child and an adult. That is not a silly childish series. There is art, it makes you think and the adult cast is full of stars. I must have watched it four times and with Cuna de Lobos, I think it is the best Mexican soap opera ever made!

Classic soap opera oriented for children.

Man! Those were the days! I remember watching this movie religiously during my childhood years and all I can remember is that it featured plenty of dramatic moments mixed with tender and naive situations that many children will be related to.

The chemistry between the three most important characters was very tender and often taught lessons of humanism.

Jorge Martínez de Hoyos was magnificent as the tender old man who took care of both children and always applied his wisdom in the most important situations.

I had a huge crush on Ludwika Paleta so i didn't pay attention to her acting; but nowadays, thanks to reruns in the Telenovelas Channel, I can proudly say that she was a fantastic young actress. Gael García was algo very good and demonstrated he had qualities as a serious actor.

But let's face it, Martínez de Hoyos stole the show and will be always remembered as a favorite for the fans.

This is a tender story of love and lessons of life. Sometimes, it hurts when we grow but it's the only way to learn.
