Warning: Spoilers
Albert Burdon plays a chemist who is having trouble trying to impress his girlfriend. He meets a Russian scientist who has invented a youth elixir. He drinks a bottle just before going to bed and wakes up in the morning bursting with life.He goes to the local store and buys a new suit with Styrofoam hat.He meets up with his girlfriend who is going to lunch with his rival and knocks him out.Meanwhile an American gang is planning to steal the crown jewels from the Tower of London.Albert takes his guilt to a nightclub and is totally assertive unlike his usual self. However when he wakes the following morning the side effects of the elixir have caused Albert to shrink to the size of a child. His father goes to look for the Russian, but he has left his lodgings. He finds that he is in hospital.New clothes and toys have to be bought for Albert as he continues to regress. All of the shots with him are taken with larger than scale furniture and props. The Russian is found in hospital. His father is given 2 bottles. One will make him grow large again, the other to prevent him getting too large. However the father is knocked out by the gang as he is a warmer at the tower. They steal his uniform.Albert drinks from the first bottle of antidote. He then phones the tower to try to warn them. However the American gains entry to the tower.Albert has grown back to his usual size and goes to the Tower. The gang try to break in and set off the alarms but fool the guards into turning off the alarm.A farcical conclusion where the gang are routed and Albert wins his girl. A mediocre farce
