Come on now, it was a different time, a different age. Why are these reviewers being so harsh and critical over something from 1928? That's how people looked and sang back then. You guys are judging this video strictly from a 21st century modern perspective. You can't harshly criticise something just because it doesn't match with today's standards. You might as well be tearing apart Abraham Lincoln because of his stove pipe hat. It was a different time. People looked different, they acted different, and they sang different. And I thought the locust sisters looked and sang pretty darn good for one of the first ever sound pictures. So one of the sisters kept singing in a high pitched vibratto. That's how they sang back then. It was acceptable back then. And I'm sure unlike now, people appreciated their efforts. And I thought their singing was really nice in an old fashioned kinda way. I appreciate and value these people from long ago. They had values. They were more simple, unlike todays competitive, judgemental, media circus world of today where every celebrities' moves are picked apart, exploited, thrown all over the internet. People back then were much more kind, simple and caring to one another, unlike the superficial, heartless, judgemental people of today. .And one reviewer saying he wanted to throw something at the TV at these sweet, old fashioned girls? Today's world is sad. People of today are so harsh and critical and they seriously consider old fashioned a bad word. Back then was a world where people thought, acted, and loved like the very few people left in today's world do.
