Bridezillas is ready to walk down the aisle again. (Does this mean we need to get them another wedding gift?)
After a five-year trial separation hiatus, the infamous wedding-themed reality series is returning to We tv in 2018 with ten all-new episodes, TVLine has learned. This year's Horror Channel FrightFest will include New Blood, a chance for new screenwriters to get a very big break...
In conjunction with Mpi Media Group, Dark Sky Films and Screen International, Horror Channel FrightFest has launched a brand new search for genre screenwriters. If you're a writer looking to break into horror and genre movies, this is quite the opportunity.
Mpi/Dark Sky Films are well known for their work in genre filmmaking, having backed the likes of Stake Land, The Innkeepers and It Stains The Sand Red.
The New Blood screenwriter search will shortlist applicants, who will then be able to work with industry professionals such as Travis Stevens, Barbara Crompton, Dominic Brunt and Giles Edwards. Given that Mpi/Dark Sky is looking for ideas to develop into sub-$1m films for the international market, this is a rare opportunity for a breaking screenwriter...

It feels like Emmy season has already been going on for months – and it technically has, thanks to For Your Consideration events, which started in the spring, but now will pick up in intensity and frequency. In new television series “American Gods,” adapted by showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green from Neil Gaiman’s 2001 novel about the epic battle between the Old and New Gods, we have a superhero fantasy for adults. In this Starz drama, the Old are obsessed with faith, the New with branding.
Costume designer Suttirat Larlarb and cinematographer Darran Tiernan felt they needed to ground the Gods in a believable reality before going wild with visual eye candy. That meant using protagonist Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) as an anchor. He’s a former convict with a crisis of faith, who’s recruited to protect con artist Mr. Wednesday/Odin (Ian McShane).

“I was harboring a low level anxiety about the project because, from the outset, we’re given a host of characters who exist in reality but are supernatural,” said Larlarb. “And they have to exist among living,...

“I mean, I just coughed a feather up like five minutes ago,” said Aubrey Plaza.
That’s the price the actress had to pay for working on the FX’s series “Legion” in which her character rips open a pillow in a mad, choreographed dream sequence that all takes place in the subconscious of David Haller (Dan Stevens).
“I was so far gone and wrapped up in that character… that I just started knifing that pillow open, and the feathers just kind of exploded into my face and I inhaled a bunch of them…But I was coughing up feathers like an animal for a while, and it was kind of scary because I had a lot of them in my lung. It was very Looney Tunes.”

IFC’s “Documentary Now!” has always gone for more than the cheap laugh. While it’s a mockumentary of public-tv programming and the documentaries they feature, the real pleasure lies in watching how it will create homages to great nonfiction filmmaking.

“Big Little Lies.” “Twin Peaks.” “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
These three projects don’t make up half of Laura Dern’s 2017 body of work, but they do represent defining moments in the year’s entertainment landscape. Few movies or TV shows have been met with as much anticipation or scrutiny, and this level of intense speculation can be tough on an actor who’s been sworn to secrecy.

Leave it to the folks behind “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” to come up with an Emmys campaign video that takes the air out of all other campaign videos. East and West collide, it seems, in more ways than one. The western comics of Marvel have announced that they are continuing production with an Avengers Anime, and it looks like it could be a good combination.
Madhouse Studios, who is in charge of making the new series, has done some good work in the past with Marvel anime, but nothing has really been a huge hit. I think a large part of that has to do with it focusing too much on the old and not enough on bringing something new to the table. They aren't making the same mistake this time.
The series is called Marvel Future Avengers and stars many of the Avengers that we know and love including Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, and the Wasp, and mixes them with a new group of young kids with powers. The main kid is Makoto, a child...

I’ve waited a long time for this (cracks knuckles). This argument has been a long time coming, but I know that I’m ready (cracks neck). And you know what? I’m confident that I’m going to sway at least a few of you (does series of calisthenics so as not to pull a muscle).

You know what they say, one man’s trash is another man’s reason to spend an entire Saturday marathon-Googling Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. What? Ok, so perhaps I improved upon the maxim a bit, but that does little to change the fact that I recently happily tumbled down the internet rabbit hole to investigate the many controversies surrounding Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.
For most people, the only real controversy here is that the Friday the 13th franchise was allowed to produce seven films in the first place; these poor folks are also apparently blissfully unaware that the entry count currently sits at 12. What is so rewarding about being a b-movie devotee is how often one can find fascinating stories buried under the oddest and trashiest flicks that most would deem cinematic afterthoughts.

“The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!’ It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else,” Sylvester Stallone said earlier this year when asked about reprising his character of Rambo. “There’s nothing left. When they asked me to do another ‘Rambo,’ I said, ‘If I can’t do better than I did last time, and I can’t, then why?’ ” That’s sound reasoning, but that won’t stop Hollywood from giving the iconic ’80s action hero a new coat of paint.

Despite early reports that Sylvester Stallone was attached to executive produce and possibly reprise his role as John Rambo in a new TV show called Rambo: New Blood for Fox, Deadline now reports that Stallone will have no involvement whatsoever with the show.
“Contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone has opted not to participate in the planned Rambo television series in any way at all,” a spokesperson for Stallone said. Added Stallone, “I wish the others well with the project.”
The show was meant to explore the complex relationship between Stallone's Rambo and his ex-Navy Seal son, but now that the star is no longer involved, Deadline says it's "unlikely" that the project will move forward at Fox. That's probably for the best — without Stallone, there's absolutely no reason to go through with this show. Hell, I'd argue that even with Stallone on board, there's no reason to go through...

Not too long ago, we brought you word of a proposed Rambo TV series that was brewing in development over at Fox. Titled Rambo: New Blood, it was said to focus on the titular hero’s relationship with his son and at the time, reports stated that Sylvester Stallone was involved. Now, however, Deadline is reporting that the actor will not be participating in the series “in any way at all.”
Deadline claims that Stallone’s involvement was never a sure thing, with some sources indicating that there was never even a formal deal in place. Now it’s official though and without Sly lending his hand, the series is unlikely to move forward. It’s unfortunate, too, as it did sound quite promising.

Well, it seems the project is on hold.

Sly Stallone is earning Oscar buzz for reprising his role as Rocky Balboa in Creed, so the timing seems right for him to bring another high-testosterone '80s hero out of the attic: Deadline reports that Stallone and Fox are developing a Rambo TV show, which the actor would executive-produce, and could potentially star in. (Deadline's sources are divided on that last part.) Called Rambo: New Blood, the project would center on Vietnam vet turned Afghan freedom fighter turned missionary rescuer John Rambo and his son J.R. (wait, is his name John Rambo Rambo Junior?), an ex–Navy S.E.A.L. Unlike the previous attempt to tell the story of the son of Rambo, this series will presumably not be produced by a bunch of adorable British children.

If you love "Rambo" and more importantly, Sly Stallone, then you'll love the fact that Fox is developing a brand-new series called "Rambo: New Blood," and will be based on the famed character, but with the focus truly on his son J.R., a character we've never seen before.
Now the show is described as something that would involved both Stallone and whatever actor plays his son, so we could possibly see him making several appearances in the show once it comes out. But Stallone is also in a position where he wouldn't have to be a mainstay on the show, much like Eddy Murphy and his "Beverly Hills Cop" CBS series that is dead and gone, where the comedian would've only made an appearance here or there.
The Rambo series followed the character John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran, who is quite possibly the most skilled and deadly man alive.

This past weekend saw Sylvester Stallone return, for the sixth time, to the role that made his career: mumbly Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa. But the difference this time was that the comeback was a triumph: Ryan Coogler’s “Creed,” which sees Rocky as the mentor and trainer to the son (Michael B. Jordan) of his former rival and friend Apollo Creed, is one of the best-reviewed studio movies of the year, an undoubted hit, and a film that’s getting plenty of awards buzz, including a potential supporting-actor nomination for Stallone. And clearly, it’s got the actor thinking about other potential ways to return to his best-known characters, as Deadline reveals that the star is executive-producing, and potentially appearing in, a new show called “Rambo: New Blood” for Fox. As the title might suggest, it’s a new twist on the military man he’s played four times since 1982’s “First Blood.

Looks like we are going to get a Rambo TV series at Fox called Rambo: New Blood. The Network just closed a development deal, and Sylvester Stallone is on board as an executive producer. According to Deadline, there's a chance that Stallone could also star in the series, but that is not set in stone. They do say he's expected to reprise his role, which he has played in all four Rambo movies that have been made. The series is said to center around him and his son.
The series is being written by Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive), and according to the report, it "pays homage to the films, exploring the complex relationship between Rambo and his son, J.R., an ex-Navy Seal."
