¡Viva la vida!

I can't help wondering why the original title "Viva la vida" of this movie, made in a Spanish speaking country and in 1969 has been changed to an English title. This doesn't happen with other Spanish titles, yet it happened here. It surely has nothing to do with a well know song from a British band whose members were probably not even born when this movie was made. So, why has this movie title been translated while others aren't?
