Funny and creative, a very funny show.

The twisted tales of Felix the cat is one of the weirdest and surreal shows i've seen but at the same time, is one of the funniest shows i've seen. The show is great when it tries to parody different subjects, for example the educative cartoons, the Star Trek movies and even the other versions of Felix the cat. Great for Felix the cat fans, great for cartoon fans but maybe too weird for some people. The second season is the best one of the two, it has more coherent stories and it's easier to get into it. The first season isn't bad by any means but it can probably be too weird for some people. There's an episode where Felix plays with time and space and he transforms into a weird monster that is eaten by his own tail. Definitively not for everyone, but is still a funny, surreal and -of course- twisted show. Great for kids and adults.

The Twisted Adventures of Felix the Cat

Warning: Spoilers
When I was a kid I didn't watch The Twisted Adventures of Felix the Cat that often, but when I did it was quite funny. Basically they took the popular comic book cat Felix (also from the 30s) and placed him in a weird and wonderful world with magic (I think) and twisted stuff. There were weird creatures an places in this world. But I think it was Felix himself that was the twisted part sometimes. He always used to take off his tail and use it for whatever purpose he wanted, e.g. walking stick was most popular. To be honest I can only remember this for the theme tune and Felix the Cat using his tail. The original cartoon, made in the 1920s and 30s was mentioned as number 89 on The 100 Greatest Cartoons. When I was a kid of course, quite good!

Too Funny

This is one of these over-looked animated gems. this show was nothing like ever other brainless hunk of junk version of Felix. This show was totally hilarious. The comedy was intelligent enough to be appreciated by adults. Nuff said.

This is basically the Felix the Cat version of Rocko's Modern Life

Warning: Spoilers
Felix the Cat has always been entertaining. And Rocko's Modern Life is one of those intriguing classic Nickelodeon shows. But if you combine Felix the Cat and Rocko's Modern Life together, this is what you get, a masterpiece! (Spoiler warning) This show gets more entertaining when one of the older Felix the Cat characters Poindexter has cameos. I hope Felix the Cat will come back in the future and be a cartoon star like he used to be. I'm tired of people comparing Felix the Cat to awful bootlegs like Bendy and Cartoon Cat. Felix the Cat is technically the Mickey Mouse before Mickey Mouse because the first Felix the Cat cartoon was made in 1919.

One of my favorite cartoons.

"Twisted Tales of Felix" took a beloved cartoon icon and made him more appealing to a modern audience while still having an early 20th century feel with its charming rubber-hose style.

The first season is AMAZING and probably one of my favorite seasons of any show, period.

Unfortunately, the staff changed things up for the second season and made it to be more like the infamous Oriolo era of Felix cartoons.

For some reason, they also changed Felix's voice in season 2. Charlie Adler is certainly no Thom Adcox-Hernandez, but he does an okay job as Felix's VA, all things considered.

The second season is definitely inferior to the first for the changes mentioned, but it still has some great episodes.

Good show.

Warning: Spoilers
It's honestly miles better than whatever the hell was made from Felix after the silent cartoons of the 20s. The wackiness of this cartoon can be a little bit too much at points, but it sure is funny nonetheless with unexpected jokes that can be forced sometimes, but those are never dragged long enough for you to be bothered.

The animation isn't perfect (even for 90s cartoon standards), sometimes the voice acting (which after a sub-par show in the 50s and the very meh movie, they realized that making Felix not sound like a discount bin version of Mickey Mouse was a good idea) feels more alive and expressive than the expressions of the characters.

I wasn't alive in the 90s so I can't prove this, but I've read in forums that this cartoon flopped because it aired at the same time other more popular cartoons were being aired in neighbouring channels, making the show have poor audience numbers compared to other cartoons that were just as good or worse than this one, which is a shame, since this cartoon is probably the best thing related to this character.

The small bloopers of this show make me drag this to a 8.5-9, but with more polishing, it could've definetely been a 10, and comparing to the 1959 show, it's 11 lmao.

A stroke of insanity

I LOVED this show when it was on. This is the REAL Felix! The '60s series is cute, but this one is the perfect homage to the old silent cartoons. The original Felix was crazy, and he should always be that way.

Why, oh why didn't this last longer? My guess is that it was a little much for the average viewer. Another reason could be that this was one of the most expensive cartoons ever made by Film Roman. But nonetheless, it was a fantastic series.

Great!

"Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat" was a great cartoon series. It had great animation, truly bizarre characters and situations, and a lot of laughs. Unfortunately it went downhill after the first season or two, especially since they changed Felix's voice. But, the first season or two are great and highly recommended!
