Tabaluga is a Australian cartoon series produced by Yoram Gross Film Studios from 1997 to 2004. The same company as the Blinky Bill series. It's based on the german rock musical albums created by german rock musician Peter Maffay in 1983. The brand is one of Germanys biggest media franchises. I adore this cartoon and Tabaluga is a large comfort for me and has helped me in my life and been a friend despite being fictional.

The 1st season is incredibly well written. The plot has to do with a evil snowman named Arktos who rules iceworld and his penguin servant he abuses named james want to turn Greenland into more of iceworld and the animals into ice. Tabaluga is the last of the dragons living in greenland the forest home to all animals in the series. He is tasked with the same job his dad Tyrion had to stop arktos evil plans. Tabaluga has the personality of a true friend always remaining positive and hopeful while arktos has his schemes. Tabaluga has a sidekick a little bunny girl named Happy. Some of my favorite episodes include moonstruck the one where Arktos launches Tabaluga into space as a plot to try to kill him. This fails and Tabaluga meets the moon in his dream as well as a message from his dad to beware of Arktos. The last of his kind the episode where Tabaluga is born and learns his destiny to defeat Arktos and meets his dads ghost form, a splendid couple the one where Arktos sends a little rabbit leon to make Tabaluga jelo of Happys friendship with him. Leon later becomes good admitting what Arktos is up to and the 3 stop his plans together this one even references the book by Tabaluga co creator Friends. Other faves include the episode where Tabaluga goes to iceworld to rescue frozen digby from arktos and james and the final season 1 episode where Arktos is properly defeated no spoliers. The show is so fun I can rewatch the same episodes and never get bored. I reccomend the 1st season to everyone who likes fantasy, dragons, or Yoram Gross. It's a masterpiece.
