Delusional homeless woman wanders the streets of Toronto

Jimmy's Coming is the moving tale of a lonely homeless woman who searches for a fictional lost love "Jimmy" through a fast paced urban jungle. We are introduced to our hero as she wakes from a peaceful slumber beside a dumpster in an alleyway. Through various dream sequnces, we learn that the woman has recurring fantasies about Jimmy (who bears a strong resemblance to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.) and how he "will handle everything". She gets involved in numerous altercations with vendors and fellow people of the street but never seems to give up hope that Jimmy is coming and that everything is going to be alright.

Seriously, this is quite possibly the biggest load of rubbish I have ever seen. I really mean that. MST 3K would have had a ball with this nonsense. If you thought Gus Van Sant's films were pointless, wait till you get a load of Jimmy's Coming. Ten minutes into it, I found myself thinking "what in God's name is this crap?" and then realized I had made a breakthrough in terrible movies and steeled myself to endure the rest of it.

I saw this in Canada on CBC in 1994. If you're American, you'll probably never get a chance to see it, which is most definitely a good thing. Just airing this crap on US airwaves would be grounds for an armed invasion.
