I will convey the settings.themes, and my reaction to the play
A rich, textured drama that deals with three generations of a black family in the modern south. The grandmother and matriarch of the family is haunted by memories of her past(quite effectively recounted in flashbacks). Her son is a husband,as well as father to two teenage sons of his own. We follow his struggles to support his family and maintain his dignity in an environment that is sometimes hostile and racist. His teenage boys struggle to grow up and find their own identities. These stories are told powerfully and effectively with a wonderful cast.
