Immersed in riches, a pampered, bored-to-death kid struggles to find meaning in life during a hot, dry afternoon. Unwilling to accept that his expensive toys cannot fill the void in his heart, the boy is excited when, suddenly, a melodic sound catches his attention. As he curiously looks down from his high, barred bedroom window, the upper-class boy notices an unkempt, free-spirited street urchin playing a simple tune on his wooden recorder, and just like that, a spark in his eyes paves the way for unbridled rivalry. Now, as the battle becomes increasingly intense, try as he might, the poor kid realises that he can't impress his wealthy opponent, let alone win. Why can't the two boys just get along?
