Great, entertaining show

Warning: Spoilers
This show is great. It's like an Italian version of the popular Austrian series, 'Inspector Rex', except this time with a border collie who isn't actually a police dog. Luca Sepe is a detective with a dog called Turbo. He brings Turbo along to crime scenes and the dog helps find the criminal. Turbo is on the journey to being a police dog, as he is anyway - unofficially. On the way, Luca hooks up with one of the suspects in a murder, and then has to end up solving her murder when she is killed helping him for a case. It's an enjoyable series that has mystery and humor, with some eye candy for both the girls and guys, making it very entertaining. Sadly though, it only lasts for eight episodes, but they're about 1 hour and a half each. It's set in an Italian town, with nice scenery that you'd find in Italy. If you liked Rex, then Turbo is the show for you.

very flat acting but a smart dog

The acting is really flat! It shares this kind of very predictable acting with many other Italian "fictions", it also lacks realism in depicting the general atmosphere in Italian policing, which is a bit tougher and noisier than it appears here. They also seem to have saved on extras, there are these deserted street scenes, and yes, it is set in Arezzo a not very big town in Tuscany, but it is generally a more lively place than in this series! I mean Arezzo is a provincial capital, with proper traffic, bustling streets with plenty of cars and mopeds (anybody who's visited Italy can confirm this), none of this is apparent in the outdoor scenes. The music is also very predictable. The dog seems to be the only really smart guy and the best actor!

Turbo

The music is great and it was music effects which makes the story become quite interesting. There is no swearing in it unlike today's movies which really turns me off.

The character Inspector Sepe isn't bad looking either with his black hair. His character is a very assertive and likes to put people in their places. Especially in one episode where Sylia was murdered by a friend she knew. This friend had a silencer gun and Sylia was coming to greet her boyfriend Inspector Sepe. He was hurt and angry but he wanted to solve case and he got even with her. A very emotional scene and very realistic. Even the dog Turbo was very upset he spent all night there where she was murdered. I was really emotional when watching this episode.

I just wish they would show it on TV SBS again or make videos so the public can purchase it.
