I did not know this early Jacques Doillon's film, made in the early eighties, and starring the greatest French actress Jeanne Moreau. The tale of a grand mother and her grand daughter relationship. A so unusual scheme, very moving, but unfortunately too short for such a story. I am so glad to have seen it. It is pure and authentic drama, and a fantastic character study. It was made for TV audiences and I really hope many folks saw it. Jeanne Moreau is as excellent as usual in this grand mother role, some kind of a surrogate mother for her grand daughter. Terrible and disturbing ending, but beautiful in the same time. Sad drama.
