- A man slaps a girl in the butt, not noticing the fact the "girl" is actually Mulan's male fellow friend in disguise.

- A horse trips on a small rock, causing Mulan's father to fall off the horse and become unconscious for a moment. Later, it is revealed he has broken a bone.
- Mulan's father mentions "murderous barbarians".
- Mulan, now as a "male" soldier, is attacked by three men and tied up in rope. Later, she fights them off.
- There are several war battle sequences throughout the film.
- In one battle scene, a man is hit in the chest by an arrow but survives. Little blood can be seen when the arrow is being removed, but disappears miraculously after several seconds.

- A village is burned by rebels. A man is caught and tied up in rope, and dragged by a horse. But nobody is seen to be hurt or killed.
