Rupert Grint and Jessie Cave recreate the scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in which Lavender Brown puts a "sweetheart" necklace on Ron. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince features a unique tone compared to the other movies in the franchise, featuring more darkness but also more romance. The film is the last to explore what life is like at school for Harry, Ron, and Hermione before the franchise moves away from its depiction of Hogwarts student life.
Rupert Grint and Jessie Cave have a mini cast reunion, recreating one scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. AI art imagines Harry Potter characters at work in their post-Hogwarts professions. The art sees Harry working for the Ministry of Magic, McGonagall as the Headmistress of Hogwarts, Neville as a Professor of Herbology, and more. With a TV show remake in the works, it's unlikely that a sequel movie or TV show with the original cast will happen.
Harry Potter characters' post-Hogwarts careers are imagined in a new batch of AI-generated images. Daniel Radcliffe's Harry, Rupert Grint's Ron, and Emma Watson's Hermione are first introduced in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the first adaptation of the book series by author J.K. Rowling. Audiences bid farewell to Harry, Ron, and Hermione in 2011, but a later sequel story from Rowling, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, would reveal what became of the key characters after their time at Hogwarts.

Harry Potter characters like Tonks, Lucius, Sirius and Dobby enter the world of Attack on Titan in a new batch of AI images. The Harry Potter franchise would work in animation because many of its themes are universal, and not dependent on medium. An animated take on the franchise would be exciting due to the increased stylization that could be used during spell-casting and wizard duels.
Harry Potter crosses over with Attack on Titan in a new batch of AI images. Released in 2001, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone introduces audiences to Daniel Radcliffe's Harry, Rupert Grint's Ron, and Emma Watson's Hermione, kickstarting a franchise that now includes eight installments in the main saga. "Noah" continued Emma Watson's poor Rotten Tomatoes streak since it has a 41 percent Audience Score on the website. The 2014 epic biblical drama received mixed reviews; critics praised it, but audiences disagreed. Watson redeemed herself in 2019 with "Little Women," earning critical acclaim and fantastic Rotten Tomatoes scores.
Noah was surely one of the downsides of Emma Watson's career, especially because it continued a poor Rotten Tomatoes streak for the actress that wouldn't be broken until 2019. The 2014 epic biblical drama film was directed by Darren Aronofsky and written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel, and the movie chronicled the biblical story of Noah's Ark from the Book of Genesis and the Book of Enoch. Watson starred as Ila in the cast of Noah. Ila was an orphan whom Noah and Naameh, played by Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly, took in and raised as their own in the movie.

Each Voldemort actor in the Harry Potter franchise portrayed different stages of the dark wizard's life and transformations. The evolution of Voldemort's character required different actors to show various versions from childhood to full power. With the Harry Potter universe getting a reboot, more performers will join the list of Voldemort actors in the future.
Every Lord Voldemort actor throughout the Harry Potter movies and beyond has had a certain purpose in bringing the evil wizard to life. Initially spoken of in hushed tones only, Harry Potter introduces the legend of Voldemort in its very first book, depicting a dark, fearsome wizard who terrorized the magic world, only to be defeated while attempting to kill a young Harry Potter. That led to various versions of Voldemort appearing throughout the franchise, meaning seven actors played He Who Must Not Be Named in various movies.

Harry Potter veteran Miriam Margolyes believes adult fans need to move on, as the franchise is meant for children. The Harry Potter franchise faces backlash for a new TV series amid lingering controversies. The Harry Potter TV series will premiere in 2026.

Richard Harris and Michael Gambon introduced distinct yet iconic portrayals of Dumbledore in Harry Potter. While the Fantastic Beasts franchise wasn't as beloved, Law's performance offered a promising albeit flawed depiction of the character. In the end, the best Dumbledore is decided not by style but by substance, leaving the number one choice logical but surprising.
Three actors played the powerful Dumbledore in the Harry Potter universe, and soon, there will be a fourth one when HBO's Harry Potter TV show begins production. J. K. Rowling's legendary book series introduced a fascinating wizarding world where everything is fueled by magic. In a moving battle between good and evil, Harry Potter learns the most important life lesson from Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The character is regarded as one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful wizard in the universe created by Rowling.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a clear parody of many of the played-out tropes in magic-themed anime series. However, the most obvious inspiration for many of Mashle's running gags isn't actually an anime. Instead, it has more in common with the west's most famous wizard: Harry Potter.
Many fans like to describe Mashle as "Saitama and Mob's brother goes to Hogwarts", and this is an extremely accurate depiction of the series. Mash Burnedead's demeanor and even his look is clearly inspired by One's iconic manga series, but the world Mash finds himself in is very much that of Harry Potter. This makes Mashle an awesome gateway anime for western audiences, as they'll certainly recognize many of the obvious references to one of the west's most popular stories about witchcraft and wizardry.

The Harry Potter film series accurately portrayed the ages of the main characters, with actors like Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint being the same age as their characters. Some actors, like Emma Watson and Tom Felton, were slightly younger or older than their characters, but the age differences were not significant enough to affect the believability of their performances. The cast of Harry Potter consisted of actors of various ages, with some actors like Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane significantly younger than their aged characters, showcasing their acting abilities.

The Harry Potter TV remake aims to fix major plotholes from the original series, enhancing the overall storytelling and world-building flaws. By dedicating entire seasons to each book, Warner Bros and HBO can address key issues like Harry's scar pain, Muggle-borns fearing Voldemort's name, and Hagrid's wand. Subtle tweaks in the remake can provide logical explanations for inconsistencies like the teachers not questioning Moaning Myrtle's death or Dumbledore's curse from the Resurrection Stone.
Several plotholes from the original Harry Potter books and movies have been called out over the years, but HBO's upcoming TV remake can finally set things right. As beloved as stories from the Wizarding World franchise have become, they are far from perfect. Like any fictional world, audiences have noticed some problems within the plot and worldbuilding, and things only got more complicated as the series went on. Warner Bros. Discovery has an update about the Harry Potter TV series and not every Potterhead is rooting for the project after the update. David Zaslav, Wbd CEO, has suggested that author J.K. Rowling will be heavily involved in the series. Earlier, it was reported that she would executive produce the series. Rowling’s inflammatory comments about the trans community have made her a controversial figure in recent times.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, the last movie in the film franchise, was released in 2011 and Zaslav believes that it is time for a reinvention. However, the franchise had not been dormant, as three movies came out in the Fantastic Beasts series.

The Harry Potter franchise is incredibly successful, making over $9.5 billion in worldwide box office sales and selling millions of copies of the books. The first two movies, directed by Chris Columbus, are the most faithful adaptations of the books, staying true to the narrative beats. As the series progressed, the movie runtimes varied, sometimes leading to pacing issues and the exclusion of important characters and plot points. However, the split of the final book into two movies allowed for a more comprehensive adaptation.

The first two Harry Potter films — Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets — were directed by Christoper Columbus, who created the foundation of the Harry Potter series and rendered the first two films in childlike wonder and inspiration. But when Alfonso Cuarón took the reins to direct the third movie in the series — Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban — he contoured the film with a darker edge, painting the scenes with a gray/blue lens and adding more mature elements to the film. These techniques were used to illustrate the growth of the three main heroes: Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson).

Harry Potter and Twilight are two of the biggest young-adult film franchises of all time, and they put Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson on the map.
Interestingly, the blockbusters also signify near misses for one actor who auditioned for the chance to play both Harry Potter and Edward Cullen.
Daniel was only 11 years old when he portrayed the beloved boy wizard alongside Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 2000.
Eight years later, Robert was 22 when he was cast as the lead glittering vampire alongside Kristen Stewart in the first Twilight movie.
The franchises featured large and talented casts, and there’s a common thread between them – an actor who landed supporting roles in both after auditioning for the lead. He opened up about the experience in an interview.

The snake scene in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone accurately portrays a zoo snake's docile nature. Snakes don't hear like humans, however, meaning the snake wouldn't understand what Harry is saying or that he is speaking at all. Snakes play an important role in the Harry Potter franchise as a means of foreshadowing Harry's existence as a horcrux.

Some of the deaths in the Harry Potter movies were sadder because of the deceased's age, significance to the story, and the impact their death had on the other characters. Lily and James Potter's deaths shaped the entire story and set the tone for the struggles and heartache Harry would endure throughout his life. Both Deathly Hallows installments saw many lives lost, but Hedwig and Fred Weasley's deaths were the saddest between these two final films.
While plenty of innocent lives were lost throughout all eight Harry Potter movies, each movie featured a death that was especially sad for a number of reasons. Most of these deaths were at the hands of Lord Voldemort and his disciples, the Death Eaters, who sought to wipe out all Muggle-born and half-blood wizards and witches and their allies. Anyone who didn’t perfectly predict this year’s Oscar nominees for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design has a uniquely valid excuse. This applies to all but a tiny fraction of Gold Derby’s nearly 11,000 prognosticators, whose solid consensus ultimately conflicted with the academy’s highly unusual decision to populate both categories with the same five films: “Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Napoleon,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Poor Things.” Since these two craft races have only been completely congruent twice before, it’s especially understandable that very few people anticipated this outcome.
The film that mainly tripped folks up in this case was “Napoleon,” which garnered support from only 49.9% of our users in the costume design race and scraped by with a production design backing rate of just 7.5%. In the former category, many had trouble settling on two of four on-the-bubble candidates, while the latter’s pesky fifth slot...

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child could potentially be made into a movie with the original cast returning, as shown in the fan-trailer. The play takes place 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, focusing on Harry and Ginny's son and his friendship with Draco Malfoy's son. The fan-trailer highlights the play's central themes of family legacies and the consequences of time-travel, using footage from the original Harry Potter franchise.
The Harry Potter universe continues to captivate fans more than a decade since the movie franchise came to an end in 2011. However, that is not really the end of the story, as the Wizarding World has continued to expand with the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, and, of course, the stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Many people have questioned whether the latter of these will ever make it to the big screen in a new movie in the franchise.

The Back to the Future poster artist compares the film’s poster with its original art. Released in 1985, Back to the Future stars Michael J. Fox as the iconic Marty McFly, who is unexpectedly catapulted in the past through a vehicular time machine. The Robert Zemeckis film has become one of the most influential pieces of cinema of the 1980s. Back to the Future spawned two sequels, which were less highly regarded but remain iconic parts of the franchise.

AI-generated art imagines key Harry Potter characters as children, including Voldemort, Dumbledore, Umbridge, Quirrell, and Tonks. The Harry Potter cast is a big reason for the franchise's success, but it's looking unlikely that any actors will reprise their roles. All new actors are set to carry the franchise forward with Max's announced remake TV show.
Harry Potter characters like Voldemort and Dumbledore are imagined as children in new AI art. Based on the beloved novel series by controversial author J.K. Rowling, the first installment in the hit Warner Bros. fantasy franchise was released in 2001. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone introduces Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron, and Emma Watson as Hermione, and a variety of eccentric and memorable supporting characters help bring the trio's story to life.

Harry Potter is arguably the biggest cultural phenomenon of the last 25 years. Since the first book was published in 1998, J.K. Rowling has published six more books on top of three companion pieces to the franchise: Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and The Tales of Beedle the Bard. A couple of years later, a theatrical script, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, was published by Rowling, and Thorne and John Tiffany, and it's still on stage in a West End production in London. What's more, the books were adapted into eight iconic films and a spin-off trilogy.

Despite having a large budget and excellent casting, The Golden Compass failed to live up to its potential as a major fantasy hit in the 2000s. The movie's plot changes and failure to explore important themes from the source material disappointed fans of Philip Pullman's novel. Fortunately, His Dark Materials, the TV adaptation of the same story, redeemed the franchise and proved to be a far superior adaptation.
The 2000s saw a fantasy movie boom, with successful projects like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings paving the way for more feature films within the genre — though not all lived up to these adaptations, and one $372 million flop even became the 2000s' biggest fantasy disappointment. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and The Fellowship of the Ring both hit theaters in 2001, and these releases didn't just spawn successful franchises in their own right. New AI art turns Harry Potter characters into super buff bodybuilders, with some surprisingly fitting results. Character transformed include Hermione, Ron, and Harry, alongside some surprise transformations for Hegwig and Dobby. The Harry Potter universe will continue through a TV series on HBO.
New Harry Potter art turns all the characters into super buff versions of themselves. Kicking off with 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the legendary film series had to craft the world of Hogwarts out of the thousands of pages from the hit novels. Now, the Harry Potter movies and its characters — including Hagrid, Voldemort, Harry, and more — are as iconic as the book series from which they originate.
Taking a different approach to these classic characters, new art from @manmeetsmachine reveals the main characters as bodybuilders. The art takes the form of a series of AI images that attach beefed up muscles to beloved Harry Potter characters.

Albus Dumbledore's sexuality was confirmed by J.K. Rowling in 2007, revealing that he had a romantic relationship with Gellert Grindelwald. The Fantastic Beasts movies did not explicitly confirm Dumbledore's gay identity, disappointing some fans who were hoping for more representation. The upcoming Harry Potter TV series on Max may have an opportunity to properly portray Dumbledore as openly gay, without the need for ambiguity or censorship.
Harry Potter's Wizarding World is full of secrets, of which many have been revealed and confirmed by J.K. Rowling over the years, including Albus Dumbledore's sexual orientation — so, is Dumbledore gay, and what is his relationship with Gellert Grindelwald? Back in 1997, Rowling introduced readers to the Wizarding World through her debut novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Even though the Harry Potter series came to an end in 2007 (and 2012 in the case of the movie saga), the Wizarding World continued its expansion thanks to other works.

Harry Potter and Twilight are two of the biggest young-adult film franchises of all time, and they put Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson on the map.
Both blockbusters also signify near misses for one actor who auditioned for the chance to play Harry Potter and Edward Cullen.
Daniel was only 11 years old when he portrayed the beloved boy wizard alongside Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 2000.
Eight years later, Robert was 22 when he was cast as the glittering vampire lead alongside Kristen Stewart in the first Twilight movie.
The franchises featured large and talented casts, and there’s a common thread between them – an actor who landed supporting roles in both after auditioning for the lead. He opened up about the experience in an interview.

A new Harry Potter theory suggests that Molly Weasley might have been at King's Cross Station per Albus Dumbledore's orders to help Harry the first time he went to Hogwarts. Molly Weasley was shouting and making herself very noticeable, which made fans suspicious. Also, Dumbledore is known for planning everything about Harry's life. If this theory is true, it might have been the best thing that Dumbledore ever did, since the Weasley family was extremely important for Harry to grow into the loving and heroic wizard who would eventually save the Wizarding World from Lord Voldemort.
Harry Potter has always been a resourceful wizard, but there's no denying that he wouldn't be nearly as successful if it weren't for his friends and family. Before he went to Hogwarts, he only ever had two real friends, Hagrid and Ron Weasley, both of whom he met as soon as he was exposed to the Wizarding World.

The first book in the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" ("Sorcerer's Stone" here in the States) was first published in June of 1997. It was written by author J.K. Rowling, long before she had been driven mad by an infuriating streak of unabashed transphobia that she insists on adhering to. Thanks to years of bigoted screaming, Rowling's legacy has been wholly tainted, and it's hard to read her lighthearted children's fantasy books without thinking of her poisonous worldview. If one checks out the Harry Potter books from the library, however, one can still enjoy the adventures and complex Wizarding World of Harry Potter without giving Rowling another dime.
Before her mind snapped open in public, however, the Harry Potter books — and their subsequent movie adaptations — were widely beloved. The title character was an impoverished 11-year-old who was forced to live in a closet with his abusive aunt and uncle.

The Harry Potter films outperformed the Percy Jackson movies both at the box office and in terms of overall quality and faithfulness to the source material. The Percy Jackson Disney+ series has a larger budget and shows significant improvement in terms of special effects and characterization compared to its film predecessors. In a physical fight, Percy Jackson would likely defeat Harry Potter due to his combat skills, ability to control and manipulate water, and experience facing various adversaries.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly when the whole Percy Jackson vs Harry Potter debate started, but this battle has been ongoing for years. The fans are understandably passionate in their love for their respective series. This passion applies to defending the writers, the main characters, and claiming who would win in an actual fight. Due to how heated these debates can get, it's clear how much people love both the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter franchises.

Barbie becomes the third "original" movie this century to hit record-breaking box office success, earning over $1.4 billion worldwide. Greta Gerwig's film presents intriguing lessons on identity, feminism, and capitalism through the story of Barbie. Barbie's success highlights the need for more original movies in the age of sequels, but replicating its achievement may be challenging due to the industry's focus on established franchises.

Draco Malfoy's boggart, according to a theory, would be his own father, revealing his fear and complex relationship with him. The theory adds a tragic layer to Draco's story, showing that he feels insurmountable pressure from his father and fears him more than anything else. A variety of factors led to the film's untimely cancelation, including stiff competition at the box office and its place in the franchise as a whole. However, a revival of the Narnia films headed by Greta Gerwig may reignite interest in the franchise.
The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven books written by C.S. Lewis, one that built a vast mythology with a richly defined world, with characters that could rival that of his friend and peer J.R.R Tolkien's Middle Earth series. At the heart of the series lies Narnia, a mystical fantasy world brimming with curious creatures, that is explored by the four even more curious Pevensie children: Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter. Their adventures take them throughout Narnia as more of the unusual otherworld is revealed to them.

Ralph Fiennes wasn't the first actor to play Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies; Richard Bremmer portrayed the character in the first movie. In the flashback scene in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Lord Voldemort's attack on Lily and James Potter is shown, providing important insight into the "Boy Who Lived" narrative. Ralph Fiennes became the definitive version of Voldemort in the fourth movie, bringing his own interpretation to the character and contributing to his creepy film design.
Ralph Fiennes played Voldemort in many of the villains most iconic Harry Potter scenes, but he wasn't the first to play He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Lord Voldemort's movie debut was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, although Ralph Fiennes didn't play Voldemort in the first Harry Potter movie. In fact, Fiennes wasn't cast as Voldemort until the fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. With such a prominent role in the Harry Potter story being recast,...

An AI-generated video imagines what it would look like if Harry Potter took place in 1990s Berlin, and the result is devoid of all the franchise's magic. A major reason why Harry Potter remains so beloved is due to its distinct British sensibilities, and sense of wonder and whimsy. Hogwarts is effective as a major franchise location due to its coziness and comfort, and replacing it with night clubs and gritty city streets would take away key franchise ingredients.
Harry Potter is transported to a gritty Berlin in an odd new video, completely removing the franchise's sense of wonder. Released in 2001, the first Harry Potter movie introduces audiences to Daniel Radcliffe's Harry, Rupert Grint's Ron, and Emma Watson's Hermione, with the subsequent seven films charting the trio's quest to destroy Voldemort. The films, which are based on the novels by controversial author J.K. Rowling, were all big successes,...
