Dana Hill: Max Goof

Quotes

  • Max Goof : [while helping Goofy decorate]  Dad, I'm freezing my tinsel off!

Goofy : Don't worry, Max. Almost done.

Max Goof : That's what you said an hour ago.

  • Goofy : Hmm. Well, there is somethin' Max and me used to do to get in the holiday spirit.

Max Goof : No, Dad! Not the Reindeer dance!

  • Max Goof : Uh, let's not overdo it this time, Dad. What do you say?

Goofy : Shucks, this is the perfect time of year to overdo it!

  • [after Goofy and Max's cabin burn down because of Goofy's decorations]

Max Goof : [devastated]  No cabin, no food, no car.

Pete : Well, have a nice hitchety-hike home!

[Pete starts to walk away laughing]

Peg Pete : Oh, fiddle sticks. It's Christmas Eve. You can stay at our cabin.

    Max Goof : Really?

    Pete : WHAT?

  • Goofy : What's the matter, grumpy gus?

Max Goof : Ah, Dad, every year, we do the same thing, right? Put up a ton of stuff and burn the turkey.

Goofy : Yep, just like the good old days, like when you invented the Reindeer Dance, remember?

Max Goof : I was 5 years old, okay? Legally stupid!

  • Max Goof : Wow. Aspen, Colorado. Lucky dog.

P.J. Pete : Your dad's gone ballistic again, huh?

Max Goof : I gotta stay here and put up a caroling Elvis doll.

P.J. Pete : Hey, maybe Dad'll let you come with us!

[Pete, with his family in the car, drives away]

Pete : No offense, Max, but I'D EAT CAT LITTER FIRST!

  • Pete : [after Goofy shows him Waffles wearing reindeer antlers]  Looks like a rat with horns!

Max Goof : [to P.J]  That's what I told him.

  • Max Goof : [to Pete's family]  I just wanted to thank you for taking us in, and to sorta apologize for Dad. He just kinda gets wrapped up in this holiday thing.

  • P.J. Pete : What's wrong, Max?

Max Goof : A guy should be with his family and right now mine's out in the cold.

  • Max Goof : You okay, Dad?

Goofy : No. It's getting harder and harder to make Christmas special for you, Max.

Max Goof : Like when I was a kid, huh?

    Goofy : Exactly.

Max Goof : Well, I'm growing up, Dad. But I still love Christmas and I still love you.

  • [after performing the Reindeer Dance, Goofy, Max, Pete's family, and the bear gather around a fire with the families singing Silent Night]

    Goofy : Merry Christmas, Max.

Max Goof : You too, Dad.
