After two seasons in first-run, five-a-week syndication, the show moved to Saturday mornings the FOX network. This series was kicked off on Friday, 7 September 1990 and followed with a Celebrity Week, 10-15 September. It was canceled 13 April 1991 - the first FOX Kids' show ever to be axed.
This is the 2nd game show ever not to be announced by Johnny Gilbert. When it was hard for J.D. Roth, who was 20, at the time, would use him as an older sidekick to play the games, it was Bob Synes 's and Scott A. Stone's call to hire John Hurley as the show's announcer.
British Knights was a major sponsor of the show, and every contestant and cast/crew member, esp. J.D. Roth, wore a pair of the company's shoes.
Creator and producer Bob Synes wanted to do a children's game show, because of the success of another kids' game show Double Dare (1986).
Originally, the show was supposed to air for only 22 episodes, however, it lasted 3 seasons. Both in syndication, and the last season on FOX.
