Arguably the best PS1 racing game EVER

This is one of the if not the best racing game on the PS1, the graphics are ahead of its time and the replayability is PHENOMENAL, the story is great, the music is great, and also the cars, There's lots of cars to choose to coming in to a total of 320 cars, if you like racing games, this is a must have

This is game is truly breathtaking.

The graphics are very impressive, especially considering it's a game for the PSX. I really love to watch those replays!!

The gameplay is excellent. The RPG is very original, the mood of the characters really depends on your results. The two player mode is really exciting and fun to do also.

But last but not least, the sound. The soundtrack is just amazing!!

The music alone makes you come back for more time after time. Not since Skitchin' on the Sega Genesis have I listened to such a memorable soundtrack used in a game which is as excellent in gameplay as well.

Go buy this heavenly game right now!! It's a bargain nowadays, but be warned, it's very addictive ;)

The best-looking racing-game for Sony`s Playstation

"Ridge Racer Type 4" is as the title says, the fourth game in the "Ridge Racer-series". The game is the best looking racing-game for the playstation. The graphics are perfect, the game runs in smooth high-resolution, there isn`t any pop-up(which means that scenery pops-up from nowhere) and there isn`t any slowdown. This makes "RRT4" look better than competitors like "Gran Turismo 2". "Gran Turismo 1 & 2" focused on being as realistic as possible, and that means realistic in terms of graphics and gameplay, and the gameplay found in "RRT4" is an "arcade-style" of gameplay(those who play racing-games will understand this). I find this kind of gameplay as an excellent alternative to "GT2". If you wonder which game of "GT2" and "RRT4" to buy, I`d say go get them both. "GT2" will last you longer, but "RRT4" is better in terms of track-design, action and it`ll let you drive tons of cars right-away instead of having to earn money as in "GT2".
