That is an unpleasant film. It's misogynous (poor women, not a movie for her, they are just treated as a good dish to savour once only!), homophobic (dirty jokes about homosexuals and especially the gay beating up are inacceptable)and Manichean as at the end the bourgeoisie embodied by Dutronc betrays the lower class... That's simplistic, shallow and pretentious. Oh yes, I was forgetting, that's just a dumb film!

It's a movie based on Alain Soral's real life about "street seducers".
A movie with a big touch of neorealism, about street seduction practiced generally by the poor people in opposition to modern and sophisticated ways of seduction like speed dating, cyber meetings, etc.. for rich people, generally.
Soral preaches the patriarchal model of society with macho "real" guys in opposition to the new model of society wanted by the feminists with weak guys and strong women. ;-)
The movie is fast, good rhythm, great actors. Great job, monsieur Alain Soral !

A great put down of political correctness.

-Alain Soral already hated by hard core feminists has written this great piece of fun. Thomas Dutronc is up to the level of his famous father (Jacques), Said Tegmaoui is very good too. If you are not completly brainwashed by pc propaganda you will dig this film. Confession d'un dragueur is definitely a breath of fresh air in a conformist french artsy/fartsy post modern agenda. A must see.And get Alain Soral books too!
