Mixed combo action to the 9th power
lor_8 March 2011
I'm a fan of forgotten porn starlet Joan Devlon, whose specialty for interracial sex scenes is on full display in IF MOTHER COULD SEE ME NOW. It's been preserved by Something Weird on Vol. 110 of its Dragon Art Theatre series.

Devlon stars opposite black porn stalwart Jonathan Younger as a would-be actress auditioning for a movie role. Movie's opening scene has an extremely sleazy producer (Freudian slip time by the anonymous filmmakers?) putting her through a pretty degrading tryout, before handing her over to his assistant (Younger) for the acid test in the next room.

Film is almost experimental, in that for nearly an hour Devlon and an anonymous actress credited as "Candy Moore" service two black studs non-stop, every which way. The other guy, credited as "Baron von Olsen", is a motormouth, constantly egging the girls on with dirty talk and suggestions, sort of the way Justin Slayer behaves in 21st Century porn videos. It's he who annunciates the title paraphrase, following it with punchline: "Mother would want some of this m.f. too".

This may sound boring, but for fans of the now-popular "big black dicks" mixed combo genre MOTHER is truly the mother of all such films. Many, many positions and ejaculations later, "Candy" glances at the camera with a real look of accomplishment on her face for what she's done. Final credit card is out of the WB stable, reading: "That's All, Folks!".

What I found especially appealing about this nonsense is Devlon -she has a beauty and elegance about her that is poles apart from the usual porn actress. I recently watched one of her finer vehicles, THE SEDUCTION OF LACEY BODIN, and was really impressed.

Rounding out the program is a soundtrack of Jimmy Cliff reggae hits, including "The Harder They Come" and "Many Rivers to Cross", played over & over.
