A classic MTV lie.
13Funbags8 July 2018
MTV has never been big on telling the truth, especially when it comes to history. They have spent decades lying to the kids and now they are even lying about their own history. This new version of 120 minutes is their vision of what they wish it had been. The original wasn't all REM, The Cure and Nine Inch Nails. In fact NIN(and most bands on this new show) were almost never on the original show. The average episode would have contained That Petrol Emotion. Ned's Atomic Dustbin and even Living Colour and The Cult. MTV created a culture of people who love whatever terrible music they claim is popular and then deny ever liking it when it's not cool anymore. They created a culture of lying idiots. Congrats, scumbags.

This is a Joke!

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this show growing up. I would look forward to it all week. Now they just play old videos, and that's fine. I still like to see old videos, but they went over the line this week. Last week, they played the splash screen for 120 minutes at the commercial breaks, then they played two hours of Tony Bennett videos. They actually looped them twice. This week, not one Sinead O'Connor video, not one! Then they played a Steve Windwood video that was mislabeled as the Dead Milkmen. Who is running that time block? It's a joke. They should let me play videos during that two hours, no more Talking Heads videos when I'm running the show. Seriously though, no Sinead O'Connor videos, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
