In this documentary about conducting effective business meetings, John Cleese plays a moderately competent but bumbling middle manager. In a nightmare dream sequence, he is put on trial for wasting other employees' time by not conducting effective meetings. The action starts with Cleese standing in the defendant's dock being questioned by the prosecutor. As each charge is read, the action switches to a dramatization of the mistakes Cleese's character made in various meetings, then to a scene depicting the proper handling of the situation. At the end of the film, Cleese, like Scrooge, wakes from his dream a presumably wiser man. Throughout the dramatization scenes, an appropriate balance between humor and instruction makes this much more watchable and interesting than the usual business/motivational film. Released in 16mm film format as well as video.
