A fondly remembered series.

I have always tried to think where The Screen one series fitted in, and I suppose the closest I could get was Play for Today for the audience of the time.

I was fortunate enough to have parents that allowed me to watch this series with them, some I remember, some I don't, I can remember them telling me I was too young for one in particular, which had a very adult theme, I only wish I could remember which.

The series varies quite a lot, there are historicals, comedies, stories that would have been very relevant at the time.

Some were absolutely brilliant, Tell me that you love me, which started Sean Bean was fantastic, A Foreign Field is another favourite, the wealth of talent in that one is jaw dropping. The standout for me has always been Pat and Margaret, that's one I watch quite regularly.

Dear BBC, please, please can you repeat them, or at least make them commercially available, this series has such a richness, fans new and old would definitely enjoy them. Some are out there if you know where to look.

9/10.
