A film chronicling the relationship between Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne is in the works.
A biopic about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is still in the works.
The as-yet-untitled film was formally announced in October 2021, when it was confirmed that both Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s music will feature.
Sony Pictures and Polygram are behind the project, which will focus on a twenty year period between 1979 and 1999. Lee Hall, who won huge acclaim for his screenplay for Elton John biopic Rocketman in 2018, will write the script.
Sharon and Jack Osbourne revealed the update on their podcast The Osbournes (as picked up by Planet Rock), where Ozzy, in typically unabashed style, commented on the slow progress of the film, saying “By the time it’s eventually filmed, I’ll be dead! I wanna be alive to f—ing see it”.

Back in 2020, it was announced that a biopic on the tumultuous relationship between Ozzy Osbourne and his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne was in development. While not much has been revealed since then, the Osbournes — including kids Jack and Kelly — have some strong opinions on who should play the lead roles.
During a new episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Jack posed the question, “Who do you want to play you guys?” To which Kelly responded, “I know who I want to play mom — Florence Pugh. I think Florence Pugh would do a fantastic [job].”
Sharon added, “I think Florence Pugh or the little girl from Game of Thrones,” with Jack clarifying that she meant Maisie Williams.
“You know who I want to play dad,” continued Jack. “Bill Hader … Everyone thinks I’m fuckin’ crazy until I show a side-by-side picture, [not to mention] that guy’s ability to morph [into a character].”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne appear to be open to reviving Ozzfest as a traveling tour.
The last Ozzfest took place in 2018 as a one-off concert at The Forum in Los Angeles; however, the festival was originally conceived as a Lollapalooza-style traveling tour and operated in that format for years after the inaugural Ozzfest in 1996.
Ozzy brought up the possibility of bringing back Ozzfest in a new episode of The Osbournes podcast. While the family was on the topic of music festivals, Ozzy asked Sharon if she’d ever consider throwing another Ozzfest.
“Not just one [at] the fucking Forum, but a whole Ozzfest [tour]?” he asked, to which Sharon replied: “Yeah, sure. Of course.”
Here, Kelly noted that hosting the festival would come down to bands and artists being “realistic” with their booking fees, prompting a response from Sharon.

Ozzy Osbourne is declaring he’s not dead, despite what online hoaxes claim.
During the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the Black Sabbath frontman informed his family that he stumbled upon a YouTube in memoriam video and was surprised to have found himself in it. “I put it on and I died!,” he said. “The thing on YouTube, which goes, ‘Celebrities Who Have Died Today,’ and there’s a picture of me.” Osbourne then referenced Monty Python and the Holy Grail, joking, “I’m not dead. I’m not really dead … just a little flesh wound.'”
The 75-year-old then voiced his disapproval towards reports, like the above video, that claim celebrities are “dead-ish,” meaning being close to death after experiencing health issues. His son Jack, however, saw a silver lining in the situation: “What’s been really good about the podcast, I’ve noticed that whenever any of...

Ozzy Osbourne has apparently been the subject of several death-hoax videos on YouTube, and the Prince of Darkness isn’t having it.
“I’m not dead,” Ozzy declared on the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast. “I’m not going any-fucking-where. And I’m gonna go up and do some more gigs before I’m finished anyway.”
Ozzy, who turned 75 earlier in December, might be referring to one of the many clickbait videos that have been inundating YouTube as of late. Although the rock legend has dealt with numerous health issues that have kept him mostly off the stage in recent years, the death-hoax videos are likely jumping the gun in a shameless ploy to generate views.
“The thing on YouTube, it’s got ‘celebrities who have died today,’ and there’s a picture of me,” said Ozzy of the dubious videos, “and I go, ‘I’m not dead. I...

Kelly Osbourne shared that for Christmas, she would like to get plastic surgery.
In the latest Christmas episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Kelly told her parents, Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne, and her brother, Jack Osbourne, her holiday wishlist.
“I think I’ve decided what I want for Christmas,” Kelly started to say while wearing a red sweater with the words “Merry” on it and matching bright red lipstick. Her mother replied with a sigh, saying, “Oh, here we go.”
Kelly patted her neck with her hands before saying, “Plastic surgery.”
Her father immediately answered by exclaiming, “Oh f—. Kelly, don’t. Stop.” While Sharon and Jack both looked shocked.
Kelly defended herself, shouting, “Well, I just think it’s my time!” Her mother agreed with her father while shaking her head saying that it’s “too early.”

Ozzy Osbourne said reality television today is very different than it was when his family’s MTV series The Osbournes was on the air.
In an interview with Spin magazine, published online Tuesday, the Black Sabbath frontman said that “what they call reality TV now is really not reality.”
“What they do now is kind of scripted reality,” Osbourne explained. “It’s not raw. It’s not the real, real reality. With our show, what you saw was what really went on. It wasn’t contrived. It wasn’t scripted.”
The Osbournes, which ran for four seasons from 2002 to 2005, was a part of the initial wave that launched the reality TV boom of the 21st century, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Real Housewives franchise. The show followed the life of Osbourne, his wife Sharon and two of their children, Kelly and Jack.

Some shows get canceled after a few seasons. Some only last for a few weeks. And then, there are those that get yanked from broadcast after a single night’s airing.
In this golden era of television, there are dozens and dozens of critically hailed TV programs to choose from to suit your personal taste. But even when TV’s at it’s best, that doesn’t mean there have been some serious missteps along the way.
Whether the show didn’t land with audiences, or a scandal or tragedy resulted in an unexpected immediate withdrawal from the broadcasting schedule, we’ve rounded up the television shows that got pulled from air after just one episode. While some shows did eventually air the remainder of the episodes in the can, all of these shows were scrapped from the get-go for various reasons.

Ozzy Osbourne has often credited his wife Sharon with helping him maintain his sobriety over the years. It would appear his spouse went to extreme lengths to do so.
Ozzy was absent from the latest episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, which sees the family in irreverent conversation together. This time around, Sharon, Kelly, Jack, and special guest Margaret Cho took advantage of their chance to discuss some topics that maybe weren’t Ozzy-approved. Like the time Sharon defecated in Ozzy’s weed stash.
It was apparently Sharon’s M.O. to leave a deuce in Ozzy’s contraband when she found it, according to Kelly, who recounted the story on the podcast.
“I found [Ozzy’s weed],” Kelly recalled. “I came to mom, showed it to her, and then she’s like, ‘Kelly, do you need to go to the toilet?’ And I said, ‘No, I’m not doing this again for you,...

A new episode of The Osbournes Podcast dropped on Tuesday (November 21st), and one segment featured the family discussing their popular MTV reality series The Osbournes. In addition to looking back at the show, the family came to a consensus that they’d never want to revive the series.
Toward the end of the hour-plus episode, Jack Osbourne brought up the reality show (which ran from 2002 to 2005), and asked the family whether it had a “positive or negative effect on everyone’s mental health.”
Kelly Osbourne immediately said it had a “massive negative effect” on her mental health, explaining that it was difficult having people judge everything she said and did on a daily basis. “It made me so insecure,” she added.

Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik got a taste of the paranormal with the latest guest on her podcast Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown as Jack Osbourne joined her on the mics. The pair discussed a variety of topics, including the supernatural as Osbourne was there to promote his podcast, Ghosts & Grit. While he may be known as Ozzy Osbourne‘s son and former star of The Osbournes, Jack has found a new TV life with spooky reality shows ranging from Portals to Hell to his Night of Terror specials. As the conversation flowed, Bialik got candid about being spooked by ghost stories, and although she’s a scientist, she admits that being a “person of faith,” makes her believe in such phenomena. “Have you always been into the paranormal?” she asked Osbourne bluntly. The recently revived Osbournes Podcast is proving to reveal a wealth of inside information on the family, some of which fans may never want to know. In the latest episode, Ozzy Osbourne disclosed that he used to willingly piss his pants onstage, arguing that he was “wet anyway.”
The weekly podcast features Ozzy sitting around a table with his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly. This particular conversation started earlier in the episode when the family was discussing a pair of Queen Victoria’s underwear that were once sold at auction.
Later on, Sharon mentioned that she once owned Marilyn Monroe’s shoes, to which Jack responded, “Hang on a second, so it’s weird to have the Queen’s underwear, but you can have Marilyn Monroe’s shoes?” To which Sharon retorted, “Shoes, a handbag, a dress is different than somebody’s bloody knickers that they farted in and shit in.

Sharon Osbourne is planning to open an Ozzy Osbourne museum in the legendary metal singer’s hometown of Birmingham, England.
Sharon revealed the news during the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which features Sharon and Ozzy in discussion with their son Jack and daughter Kelly.
After stating that she’s been working on an Ozzy “memorabilia place,” Sharon opened up about the planned museum, which will feature an attached café featuring a music-education component that will include playable instruments for students.
The conversation started when Jack asked Sharon if Ozzy was still moving back to England, as had previously been stated despite the metal legend’s desire to remain in the States. Sharon answered “no,” and then discussed the plan for the museum.
“He’s having all of his awards [in the museum], all his stage clothes, posters, old posters from [the pre-Black Sabbath band] Earth days,” said Sharon (as transcribed by Metal Injection). “I’ve got so much memorabilia.

Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that he has to undergo yet another surgery due to the injuries he sustained in a 2019 fall and a 2003 Atv accident. He is also slated to get an epidural injection to relieve the pain he is currently experiencing.
It’s been a rough go of it for Ozzy over the past four years in particular. In 2019, he suffered a significant fall at home, dislodging metal rods that were inserted into his body after he famously flipped over in an Atv in 2003. On top of that, he continues to battle Parkinson’s disease.
In the return of episode of The Osbournes Podcast (watch below), which premiered on Tuesday (September 12th), the metal icon offered an update on his health, revealing that he set to undergo his fourth significant surgery related to his structural damage, including a major neck operation last year.

There have been many rumours over the years that “The Osbournes” wasn’t quite as real as viewers had been led to believe, but family patriarch Ozzy Osbourne is insisting that there was nothing scripted about the MTV reality hit.
During the latest episode of SiriuxXM’s “Ozzy Speaks”, the former Black Sabbath frontman revealed that the series was inspired by another MTV hit, “MTV Cribs”, in which music stars showed off their luxurious homes.
“That was the most one they wanted to see over, and I went and I said, ‘Why don’t we do an extended Cribs?'” Osbourne told co-host Billy Morrison, admitting it “gets pretty old very quick when you got cameras stuck in every room.”

Within the first couple minutes of “The Family Stallone,” the new Paramount+ reality series following Sylvester Stallone and his family, we’re greeted with a predictable introductory trope: the behind-the-curtain producer prompt. Stallone takes a seat for his talking head and a producer — typically an invisible hand in reality TV, feeding questions rarely ever heard on-screen — can be faintly heard from behind the camera, asking, “How did Sylvester Stallone end up making a reality television show?”
It’s an opening that is about as by-the-book as a famous-family reality television show can be, but it’s also a particularly pertinent question here. The new show comes off of the heels of yet another professional resurgence for Stallone. After a decades-long career in film, the 76-year old actor turned to television for the first time with his recent Paramount show “Tulsa King.” The series was a hit for the streamer and...

Although MTV initially focused on music, in the late 1990s, it gradually shifted into a hotbed for reality TV.
The 2000s saw numerous reality shows pop up on MTV. Some chronicled the lives of groups of people, such as The Osbournes, Laguna Beach, The Hills, and Jersey Shore.
Others gave fans small glimpses into the lives and personalities of famous people.

Ozzy Osbourne is at home in Los Angeles, contemplating the passage of time. When he first came to this city to record, he was a wide-eyed, golden-voiced Brummie lad of 23, with a passion for fringed stagewear and as many cereal boxes full of cocaine as he could lay his nostrils on. The year was 1972, and heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath were in sun-kissed California making their stone-cold classic Vol 4. When it was done, their hell-raising frontman flew back to England and celebrated by swallowing 10 tabs of LSD. “We used to take it all the f***ing time,” he recalls, that Aston accent still clear as a ringing bell. Osbourne wandered into a field and spent an hour talking to a horse before it turned round and told him to “f*** off”. The Osbournes was a huge MTV hit two decades ago, charting the family when they first moved to LA to restart their lives.
Home to Roost will follow the Osbournes as they celebrate Sharon Osbourne’s 70th birthday and daughter Kelly Osbourne’s soon-to-be-born baby. The Osbournes ran from 2001 to 2005.
“This promises to be a funny, moving and honest insight into their new life in the UK,” said BBC Head of Documentary Commissioning Clare Sillery.
Home to Roost was commissioned by Sillery. Ben Wicks, Colin Barr and Louisa McKay are exec producing. Banijay Rights will handle international distribution.

“We are excited to be the place that Sharon chose to tell her incredible story. From her remarkable career as a music manager, to creating television’s first celebrity reality show, to her dramatic exit from ‘The Talk,’ Sharon will take viewers behind the scenes of it all,” said Klarman.
Osbourne added, “Fox Nation subscribers will have an unbridled look into the toll the cancel culture phenomenon had on my life and career. I hope telling my story for the first time will help audiences understand the impact this movement can have on individuals and families.”
