pretty funny, pretty crazy

The Belz does things onstage most men wouldn't dare do infront of a bunch of convicts. He doesn't panic when they whistle at him. He looks much younger than he does now, darker hair. I expected to see him in his usual blazer jacket and some slacks but no, he wore a dark shirt with the top buttons open. His imitation of Marcel Marseu (?) is just great...you didn't know the Belz could dance. Paul Rodriguez even mocks the white cons. His act is a tad old compared to George Lopez and Carlos Mencia. The opening sequence where the comics are brought into the prison as convicts is well, stupid. If that was the point then it was hilarious. Otherwise fast-forward to the jokes.

yes, it was stupid

The opening scene was meant to be stupid. It was a low budget production and we made light of it. Why do you think we mocked the Untouchibles? I thought it was so obvious no one would question our intentions. The thought that you took it serious is kind of scary. I wish I had a copy of it so I could show my son how terrible his daddy was in his acting debut. Thats the price you pay when you stay up the night before. We had fun making it though and it was a unique production. I remember signing a release stating if and when a hostage situation arose there would be no plea bargaining. Both Belz and Rodriguez went on to do good things and I am happy for them. I cant complain either. Paul Hopp
