As listed in trivia, temple runs were often filmed without an audience. In episodes where there was no audience when a temple run when is filmed; it can be seen clearly, if a viewer was to look carefully, that the seats are empty by the temple gate. This usually was apparent in the second and third seasons.
One episode in the second season consisted of a different layout of the temple throughout three-quarters of the show. When the temple run is shown, the layout of the temple is completely changed. Not only that, the artifact was spotted in the wrong location, before the temple run began. Originally, the artifact was not seen when Olmec announced where it was.
In "Blackbeard's Treasure Map", cameramen are visible after the contestant is stalled in the room with the hamster wheel. When the camera pans out to follow the contestant, you can clearly see two cameramen standing and shooting their cameras at the temple to follow the contestant.
In "John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine" show, Kirk Fogg slips off his script in the beginning and only then catches himself to acknowledge that it is "Olmec's Temple". He then stutters until he finds the words "starting line?" for the first temple game in this same show.
In his Temple Run commentary, it's clear Olmec often forgot about the diagonal passage connecting the Shrine of the Silver Monkey and the lower left-hand room.
