The Undertaker wrestled the Hell in a Cell match on a broken foot.
Mick Foley has stated that his legendary "Hell in a Cell" match was so violent that he blacked out at least once, and can't even remember portions of it.
After falling through the top of the cage and into the ring, Mick Foley appears to smile at the camera at one point. While this perfectly fit his wrestling character as someone who enjoys pain and violence, what Foley was actually doing was trying to push his tongue through his bottom lip. His beard was too thick for it to be visible, but one of the many injuries Foley sustained in the fall was a cut clean through his bottom lip.
One humorous anecdote did come from the gruesome Hell in a Cell match. As the two were receiving medical attention following the bout, Mick Foley asked Mark Calaway if he had used the thumbtacks he planned to - legitimately not remembering. Calaway simply said "Mick, look at your damn arm!" as dozens of the tacks were still lodged in it.
