The camera work was amazing!!!

One of the more intriguing student short films I have seen. The story is one that makes you think, and the writing was top notch! It suffered from some raw audio problems (budgetary problems???) but that didn't take away from the overall effect of the movie. The camera work impressed me with it's involved sweeping shots and difficult staging and set-ups. The editing was tight, and music helped add to the emotional impact that this movie carried through out. Great job!

WOW... Watch out for this guy!

I just got back from a short film fest in Orlando, FL. And was privileged enough to be surprised by a rather ambitious short film BUTTERFLY DREAMS. As I sat there in the audience and watched this film I was on an emotional roller-coaster. Not only was the acting AMAZING, the story and subject matter went FAR beyond what your normal -LA FILM SCHOOL short ever touches on. I applaud the film makers on a job well done. If you ever have a chance to catch this short - DO IT!

Show don't tell

The Director or Writer needs to learn to show us what characters are feeling instead of making them say "My life is SO awesome" over and over. I am also not buying the directors idea of a "Bad life" versus a "good life". All I learned from this is the director has a shallow vision of the world. Nice cars and good looks are all that matters apparently. They DO matter but they're not everything. It was a neat idea but not written well. The whole thing was depressing. It was an ambitious idea if this was only a school project.

The reviewer bashing LA Film Schools, sounds like a plant to me. Word of advice, if you plan to review your own movie, maybe you should toss in a bad comment or two? You think? I was going to give your movie a two, but dropped it to a one after reading the over glorious review.
