Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer narrowly escaped being strangled to death on the set of his latest movie in Ireland. Grammer is playing 18th century American president George Washington opposite Aidan Quinn in the TV film Benedict Arnold. In between scenes, Kelsey dressed in a long flowing cape jumped onto a moped for a short ride around the Dublin set - but the star's cloak caught in the bike's rear spokes and threw Kelsey to the ground. Poor Kelsey gasped and choked as the vehicle's spinning wheels pulled the cape tighter and tighter around his throat. Luckily the actor managed to get the garment off just in time and returned to the set relieved, but bruised.
