Just weak
loaff28 January 2008
A kind of unsuccessful attempt to revive the popular comic trio of the 60s (for those who don't know - Booby, Coward and Experienced - see the early Leonid Gaidai films), in which Yuri Nukulin is replaced by Spartak Mishulin. There are a few good moments (thanks to Georgi Vitsin who does his job masterfully), but in general the movie is very weak: the plot is unconvincing, the dialogs are not funny, the all-star cast most of the time fails to impress. The cast is really a who-is-who of the gold age of Soviet cinema, but it's just too evident that most of these actors are way too old for a comedy - some of them were over 70 at the time and really looked old and tired. The director's work also doesn't make the movie any better.
