The opening theme that plays through the credits is taken from Beetlejuice (1988).
The Ouija board game in the film had to be incorrectly spelled to "Weegee" to avoid copyright infringement with Hasbro's trademark.
Sisters Candy and Cindy were played by pornstars Lizzie Borden and Beverly Lynne, in one of their few non-pornographic film roles.
Due to the film's shoestring budget (only $2,300), there is virtually no animation present in the film in spite of being a parody of old cartoons, aside from clip art composited into some shots of the film. As a result, the cartoon characters including Dr. Carnage and Max Assassin had to be played by live actors.
The film is intended to be a parody of old Warner Bros. cartoons and Tex Avery cartoons.
