Based on a comic book hero in Turkey, this film watches like a B picture. There are lots of shootouts and beatings, but it all feels somewhat kitschy. The DVD is very poor in terms of quality of transfer, it looks like a silent film era film. Basically, its about the Spy Smasher trying to thwart The Mask and his co-horts from taking over things, even outside of Turkey. Sevda is the Spy Smasher's girlfriend and dressed appropriately sexy for the time (go-go boots, miniskirt). The movie is easy to follow and it is not very long. Actually, despite the fact that if you were in a theater and there was no sound you can probably substitute hilarious dialog for what is actually said, the film has a certain charm and nostalgic feel. Basic good vs evil. Not essential by a long shot, its fun in a Saturday afternoon serial drama sort of way.
