- Originally shown as a 137 minute version that combined 50/50 dramatized segments and interview segments. When interest for Studio 54 reawakened in 1997 after two newly published books and two Hollywood-film in the making (54 (1998) and The Last Days of Disco (1998)) it was re-edited to a new version which mainly consists of the 44 interviews and to a much lesser extent the dramatized segments.
- When broadcast in Finland on YLE Teema in August 2009 the drama/documentary was shown in a longer original 137 minute version. This version was called "Letzter Tanz" in the opening titles (which were all in German), although the narration, interviews and dialogue in drama segments were in English. This version restores all complete drama segments with Holt McCallany playing a fictionalized character named Daniel Alexander who was at studio 54 in late 70s. In these dramatized segments in the original version Sam Rockwell appears briefly near the end.
