Despite that the game was originally called Conker Live and Uncut, several Parts of the Nintendo 64 game were cut from from the xbox release. These include: Many swear words that were able to be heard in the N64 version have been bleeped out. An area near the beginning of the N64 game where Conker falls down a waterfall isn't in the Xbox version. Instead when Conker falls he just appears back at the top again. The cheats screen of the original game is gone, an umbrella with Kazooie from the Banjo games that could be seen in the chapter select screen is no longer visible, Also on the N64 original Conker spun around in mid air when he jumped which he doesn't do in the remake.
When you enter the morgue on the war level there's a tube on your right that holds one of the original Tediz from the N64 version of the game.
Changes from the original to the remake include the design of the Tediz, the entire control scheme of using weapons and swimming is now more like a first person shooter compared to a traditional platformer. Conker gets a baseball bat to replace the frying pan he used in the original. On the game select screen, inside one of the rooms it appears that Cooper from Rare's Grabbed by Ghoulies game is possibly being sick in a sink or toilet.
The game started life as Conker's Quest on the Nintendo 64 in 1997. It was then renamed Twelve Tales Conker 64 before eventually getting released as Conker's Bad Fur Day. Then when Rare was sold to Microsoft in 2002 it was announced then a remade version of Bad Fur Day would be released on the Xbox under the name Conker Live and Uncut. The game was then later renamed Conker Live and Reloaded for it's release.
In its original two forms the game was a platform game suitable for children and Conker appeared in two other games in this form. The first was Diddy Kong Racing and the second was his own adventure Conker's Pocket Tales for the Game Boy Color. The only characters to survive the transition from Pocket Tales to Live and Reloaded are Conker and his girlfriend Berri, although she changed greatly in appearance.
