The Mexican fishing village where the action takes place was a standing set on the Universal back lot, known as "Singapore Lake." In the 1970s, it was re-purposed for the JAWS attraction on the studio tour and re-named "Amity Lake." Later, it was seen in the "Murder, She Wrote" TV series, as Cabot Cove.
Several passages in Pete Rugolo's score for this installment were re-recorded (with minor changes) in his music package for Quinn Martin's "The Fugitive" (1963).
