Nine year old Helen - reluctantly - accompanies her harangued mother on her cleaning round and is pressed into keeping the terminally ill, Mr. Morrison (James Greene, 'From Hell', 'Empire of the Sun') company while she works. In the silence of his stuffy darkened bedroom it isn't long before Helen's innocent (yet philosophical) questions stir the old man from his death-bed. Together the unlikely duo head for the garden where Helen becomes an unwitting conduit for the old man's journey's end.
