One of the few Filipino movies that I really love
conradcarlo_venzon-123 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, the plots and story lines of our movies are mostly taken from other foreign movies.

The movie makers just change and bend them a little just to make it slightly different.

They barely make something original.

But this one, wow, I never knew that this movie will hit the spot..

I've seen so many romantic movies but this one stands as one of the best.

Well, that's all I have to say for this movie..

GodBless (^^,)

a good movie

I thought it was a great movie! It was easy to follow the story. It skips around once in awhile so as to try and not give away the ending, provide suspense and understanding a little bit at a time. If they told you everything in the beginning it would have been boring. Great performances by both Aga and Kristine. Of course, knowing and being familiar with Filipino movies, they try "copying" famous American movie plots...but then again, who doesn't? Movies with similar plots can be found so much throughout cinema history around the world! One country can't "own" such a frequently used plot. Some people say it is sort of like "A Walk to remember" well..if you liked that movie...you will love this one as well. I balled so much at the end! :(

tragic, pretty, and ultimately depressing

Warning: Spoilers
(Possible spoilers)

'All My Life' is the latest offering of Star Cinema, a movie producing outfit known for the instant family drama classic 'Tanging Yaman' and a whole slew of other mediocre flicks which market upon star quality and less of story quality. The movie does not individualize itself from the 'other' movies Star Cinema had produced these past few years because it tried too hard to convey a tragic romance story but instead came up with a locally-produced formulaic Hollywood movie.

'All My Life' stars veteran charm-boy Aga Muhlach in his nth portrayal as the extremely-handsome-but-with-a-touch-of-tragedy leading man and Kristine Hermosa in her take-off attempt from the teenybopper roles she used to do. The film's attempt at greatness does not go unnoticed, however. The production value and locations used are excellent.

This movie had the potential to become one of the most memorable movies on local cinema. However, instead of lining itself up with great local romance movies like 'Imortal' or 'Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag', it comfortably sat along with mediocre Hollywood romance movies such as 'Autumn in New York', 'Dying Young', etc. The depressing factor and lack of passion had ultimately put the movie down.

the story was all over the place... scriptwriting lesson needed!

a promising little film that could have been pretty good, but turned out really sucky: mainly due to a directionless script.

effective acting by male lead Muhlach, whereas the female lead's acting (Hermosa) appears juvenile by comparison. he acts, she looks pretty for the camera. the script tried to achieve too much, ruining whatever effect it might have tried for. there were too many subplots when the movie would have just benefited from having one theme unfolded and realized. the whole storyline felt too contrived and manipulative.

generally: a waste of time. watch something else.
