Si TV on Wednesday announced a slate of seven new original series, a new interstitial movie-news segment and a second season of Urban Jungle -- which nearly doubles the amount of original programming now airing on the year-old cable network. The news means that the English-language, Latino-targeted network -- which launched in February 2004 with five original shows and until recently had 10 on the air -- will now have a total of 19 original programs on its schedule. The new projects range from what the network calls "reali-mentaries" to sketch comedy and game shows. "These new programs follow in the Si TV tradition of delivering edgy, unpredictable and irreverent content to viewers," Si TV chairman and co-founder Jeff Valdez said. "We are proud to be able to offer these signature programs that will help us continue to build and keep our base of loyal viewers."...
