I love Pixar animation, and Dreamworks is really coming along in quality. Maybe they've spoiled me, because when we popped in the Barnyard DVD from the Nickelodeon studios, I was expecting something at least slightly resembling Pixar or Dreamwork's talent.
Nope!
No humor whatsoever in the 30 minutes I could stand to watch before shutting it off. The songs were lame and definitely not geared toward youngsters. By contrast, I laughed out loud in the first couple of minutes of Over The Hedge and enjoyed it throughout. Save your money -- don't rent Barnyard, rent Over The Hedge!
