This is a pretty dull affair, even by early twentieth-century actuality standards. Possibly the film is mostly memorable for an early example of cutting (unlike most of its contemporaries this film is comprised of two scenes - one of a large group of dignitaries walking across the newly-opened bridge and the other of the speech-making afterwards) and also for the incredible assortment of moustaches and beards on display. In fact the interest is more in the incidental details than anything else: the look of boredom on a policeman's face as he watches the crowd pass by, the frank curiosity about the camera of a child in arms, the fact that there isn't one bare head to be seen...
