There, I said it.
I tried to like ".hack//SIGN" but I couldn't.
Despite having a great animation, I could never get into that series. Maybe it was the because the plot or the characters, but I found ".hack//SIGN" to be way too dull and slow for my taste.
Personally, I enjoyed more ".hack//Legend of The Twilight", a which is often accused of being way too "comical" and "childish" in comparison with its predecessor, but that's exactly the main reason of why I liked it more than ".hack//SIGN".
It has all the virtues from that previous series (Such as the good animation, the great characters designs and the nice music) but it also has more likable characters and it is way more entertaining to watch. While it can be dark at moments, it doesn't take itself way too seriously as ".hack//SIGN". And in my opinion, that's actually a good thing.
