In the aftermath of the tragedy, Frankie withdraws to a dream world. Charlie rejects his family, friends and career and sets off on a path of self-destruction.
Frankie and Charlie both continue to struggle. Charlie drifts further from Julia, and their house is put up for sale. Frankie's art may give her an outlet. Tom considers the promise that he had made to Frankie.
Dylan continues to struggle to fit in with his friends and family and the arrival of his mother causes concern for Lewis who does his best to help his son with his problems.
Frankie has an awkward start at art school. Tom's relationship with Katie grows, but something is not quite right. The same can be said for Julia and Steven.
