This 23-minute retrospective documentary covers a good deal of interesting and informative ground on the vampire horror cult classic "The Lost Boys." Director Joel Schumacher reveals that the original script was more of a children's movie and totally believed in what he was doing with the premise by making it more of a teen horror movie. Executive producer Richard Donner talks about how he was initially going to direct the film and praises his wife for suggesting that Schumacher direct it instead. Cinematographer Michael Chapman proudly admits that he loves horror movies and was thrilled at the chance to shoot the picture. We also learn that Donner suggested "The Lost Boys" to Corey Feldman, Corey Haim was cast right away as Sam, Jason Patric recommended Jami Gertz as Star (Schumacher was originally going to cast a blonde pixie type in the role), Jamison Newlander first met Schumacher in an acting class, Edward Herrmann relished the chance to play a character who wasn't a historical figure, most of the movie was filmed on location in Santa Cruz, California, and the vampire cave was a set. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
