Written and directed by James Sadwith, who based the film on his own real life experience with J.D. Salinger, the drama is set in 1969 and follows the 16-year-old outcast who finds solace in “The Catcher In The Rye” and deeply identifies with its protagonist. He decides to adapt the book into a play but before moving forward seeks the approval of the author himself, who is portrayed by Chris Cooper.

Opening in theaters today is the new comedy/drama, Admission, which pairs Tina Fey (“30 Rock,” Baby Mama) and Paul Rudd (This is 40, I Love You, Man) for the first time together on screen. The film is directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy) and also stars Nat Wolff (The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie) and Lily Tomlin (Nine to Five, I Heart Huckabees).
Along with several other members of the press, I recently had a chance to speak with Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Nat Wolff, and Paul Weitz about Admission at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City.
