Promoting music the way music should be promoted
sahorst23 July 2006
If you live in the metropolitan area of NYC, you're fortunate enough to be able to view this show, even if you don't have cable. New York Noise fills a niche as yet unfilled by any other music channel or show - promoting small NYC bands, selected small bands from other cities, and even national acts that are furthering the art of music. Interspersed amongst videos are a slue of hosts, from the creators of Pitchfork Media , to band members, artists on a blind date, and more. Bands that have been featured include: Kings of Convenience, Baby Dayliner, dirty old french-man Serge Gainsbourg, Pavement, Cocteau Twins and other Beggars Group artists, Shout Out-Louds, and even rooftop performances by the Brooklyn band Bishop Allen. If you love GOOD independent (and even not so independent) rock/pop/hip hop, watch New York Noise.
