Was the only Show Attempted by The United Network
llewow@yahoo.com18 November 2008
There was a short lived attempt by a group of independent TV stations in 1966 to create the "4th" Network, The United Network. Their first attempt (and last) was a late night talk/entertainment show called "The Las Vegas Show" hosted by Bill Dana. It was constantly rumored to be shutting down and ran for only one month. "The Tonight Show" killed it in the ratings as the chain of TV stations ran it at different time of the night. It could never get a good audience rating.

I remember it as a fun show and loved the portrayal of Las Vegas as the entertainment capital of the world. Bill Dana was a great host but never hosted a talk show again. Oh well.
