Amusing until the novelty wears off (which luckily is 31 seconds into it!)

One of the many spoofs of Hollywood films delivered in thirty seconds and featuring bunny rabbits standing in for the actors in the more famous versions. The Shining features the usual basic but amusing animation and has the required breakneck speed delivery. The awareness of the original film is good as this short picks out key scenes and dialogue to summarise the film. In doing so it has energy and pace and will amuse those familiar with the film.

Of course this is not to say that the short is hilarious because sadly it is not. By directly aping the film it doesn't leave a lot of room for imagination or individual wit. Sure, the delivery is humorous but it is not actually that funny once you get the joke (ie the fact that it is The Shining being re-enacted by small rabbits). The voices are squeaky and I was a bit disappointed that they hadn't done more with the impressions of the original cast. Probably amusing enough to do for 30 seconds because, after that, the novelty does rather wear off.

30-second spoofs of well-known movies portrayed by bunnies.

So far, the only place we have been able to locate all of the seasons and all of the episodes (seasons 1, 2 and 3) is through Netflix (you can watch these for free...so far). There are just the 3 seasons, and each season, other than the first season, does a parody of quite a few well-known or famous movies. (Season 1 only has 3 movies.) Of course, these are absolutely hilarious if you have seen the movie; otherwise, you probably won't get the context nor the jokes. But even a slight knowledge of any of the movies is enough to keep the laughs rolling in. Even movies we had no idea what they were about were cute, and we got a very concise plot of what the movie was about. I do not think we have laughed so hard, and for so long, in ages. Some of our favorites: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jaws, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park. So try and find these, as it's well worth the hunt.
