With Ryan Gosling's 34th birthday on Nov. 12, we're looking back on his time in the Hollywood spotlight. He's been winning hearts and weakening knees for two decades, charming fans on screen and off with his witty one-liners and swoon-worthy smirk. Back in the early '90s, he captured the crowd's attention at a talent show before bringing his smooth moves to The Mickey Mouse Club. From there, Ryan became a teen heartthrob, a romantic leading man, and a fan favorite so lovable that people actually petitioned for him to be People's 2011 Sexiest Man Alive. Most recently, Ryan became a dad. Actually, let's rephrase that - Ryan is officially a hot dad. In honor of his approaching birthday, go all the way back to Ryan's adorable days on the Disney channel to see his heartthrob evolution from adorable crooner to Hollywood's hottest Dilf. Kathy Griffin has been asking that question for years to a resounding reply at her typically sold out concerts across the country and she shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
As she gears up to be a part of Fabulous Las Vegas Pride next week alongside her pal Margaret Cho, Griffin called us from the road recently to talk about how she handles touring in less progressive parts of the country, why Vegas performers are getting sick and whether we’ll be seeing another book from her in the near future.

TheBacklot: You travel to so many cities, big and small. Are you surprised at what you get in small-town venues, even in the more grassroots areas of the country?

‘The Vampire Diaries’ star trades fangs for a firearm on the poster for his new big-screen thriller.
We’re still two months away from the return of The Vampire Diaries, but thankfully, fans clamoring for their Ian Somerhalder fix are being offered a brief reprieve. The smolder-er himself, 34, stands front-and-center on a just-released poster for his new thriller The Anomaly, which finds him all-dressed-up and ready for action. (He may not be starring in Fifty Shades of Grey, but that doesn’t mean Ian can’t still do serious damage in a suit!)
Though The Anomaly doesn’t yet have a release date, principal photography began in late May 2013, with shooting taking place all across London.
