Hey it's great to grieve.

Every pore is now an overeater.

Saffron tries to give her mother some bad news, granddad has died, Eddie is a little more concerned about putting on a few pounds.

It's one of the highest rated episodes for good reason, it is brilliant, it shows the characters at their very best. The humour is dark and delicious, and is incredibly bold, it doesn't hold back at all.

It's also a good insight into grief, it shows that it effects everyone eventually.

Great scenes from start to finish, I absolutely love the scene in the art gallery, scream out loud funny, the burial scene is also a favourite, there are so many moments in this one.

I think Jennifer Saunders looks very beautiful in this episode, and I would say this is one of her best episodes, she is at her absolute best, she is fabulous, her sarcastic glances and self centred attitude are side splitting.

Classic comedy, 9/10.

"I don't want the last words I hear to be, Switch her off"

Warning: Spoilers
Saffy's dad has died and she is sadder than either her gran or mum, neither of whom seem to be all that much bothered by it.

Edina's ex Marshall arrived with his latest girlfriend another American Sondra, supposedly relaxed with death but not dead bodies.

Saffy wisely does not want her mother anywhere near the funeral, but regrettably she is not able to prevent her from attending.

Inappropriately hilarious episode

Edina's father passes away.

This is a darkly humorous episode with some great Eddie and Patsy character moments.

The plot unfolds in a series of scenes following the bereavement. Edina with zero tact blunders through every interaction with family members and friends and it is funny in a very inappropriate way.

This contains several memorable scenes and it's hard to decide which one I like the most, but the coffin lying amongst Edina's latest fad art collection is a good one and of course the ending is spectacular.

Jennifer Saunders is brilliant and Joanna Lumley is almost on par.

For me it's an 8.5/10.

The most humor you can get from a darker themed episode

Warning: Spoilers
"Death" concerns the passing of Edina's father, and is obviously a darker episode. Saffy is very upset and sad, but Mrs. M. seems to be coping (especially if there's a puzzler around.) Edina doesn't seem to care that her father has died, and can be seen at her self-absorbed worst. In fact, she goes art shopping instead of grieving. During her quest for art she encounters a snooty art gallery assistant (Natascha Taylor McElhone), and forgets to pick up Patsy from another stay in the hospital. The next day finds Marshall paying his respects with his new therapist girlfriend, Sondra (Gwen Humble), and the arrival of the coffin which is placed in Edina's sitting room for the viewing. Bubble attends the funeral to represent Edina. However, Edina and Patsy show up anyway; drunk and stumbling. Llewella Gideon (the nurse from "Hospital") returns in this episode to give Edina a mummy mud-wrap.
