- When Jimmy and Perry White's sister go missing in Haiti while filming voodoo practitioners, Perry and Clark go looking for them.
- Synopsis - Drums of Death revised White and Kent head to Haiti to rescue sister Kate and Jim Olson, who have not communicated in a week after sending a picture of a voodoo chief. There initial meeting involved a greeting from Mr. Burgieré, Haitian official, William Johnson, amateur photog and writer, and Leland Masters, anthropologist and guide. Plans call for Masters to guide the two Daily Planet fellows into the bush first thing in the morning, while Clark excuses himself to retire early, it is an excuse to travel as Superman to inspect the area on his own. Superman looks through stone walls to view and hear Kate White being interrogated by the voodoo chieftain. The voodoo man asks Kate what she was doing in the Citadel and her reply is simply taking pictures. She is under the influence of a drug recently put in her tea and the chief has influenced her daily thinking. Superman meets up with Jim, who avoided the drug, but is faking it until he can escape with Kate White. Superman reassures Jim of his safety as soon as he finds the reason for the imprisonment, and the person behind all this masquerade. White confronts Clark back at the hotel with Clark staying to check on the source of grime left on the cloth Johnson left upon their initial encounter, while White heads out into the jungle with guide Masters. The two men run into a voodoo sign, White debunks it, and both are captured by the voodoo chief's minions. The chieftain locks Perry, Kate and Jim in a barred cell, formerly a wine press and Masters in a separate cell. Clark gets help analyzing the cloth from Dr. Jerod, a local chemist at Port-a-Prince, where he awaits the results. The results come back with simple ingredients found to rub on skin to make it appear darker, like a native Haitian voodoo native. Superman returns to the island, lab results in tow, and initiates the rescue. The voodoo chief starts the press squeezing its captors, which Superman rescues the three and Masters. Superman also removes the pigment from Johnson's face to reveal his true identity behind the voodoo disguise. Johnson is looking for a treasure and thought Kate was onto the location with her camera. Perry explodes stating the imbecilic manner Johnson conducted, but all are safe thanks to Superman, and Kent hears from White when confronted at the hotel. Leland Masters sums up the mess where the voodoo coverup was to find the Crystal Treasure. Johnson saw Kate snooping around the Citadel with a camera, when Perry says "his sister happens to be a photographer, and you can't take pictures without a camera. I almost lost my life over this imbecile."
