Ed Wuncler says "Lemonade was a popular drink in my day and it still is". This is a reference to lyrics from Gang Starr's 1992 song "DWYCK".
The scene where uncle ruckus is gunned by police with Riley in the background playing "Fight the Power" and the episode taking place on a "hot day" is a play on the movie "Do the Right Thing" when Radio Raheem is shot and killed by the police (also with "Fight the power" in the background).
When Tom tries to tell Wuncler he's working Jasmine too hard, Wuncler's response ("You know the name of the game, your daughter chose me. Now we can handle this like some gentlemen, or we can get into some gangsta shit") is an almost-direct quote from the movie "The Mack"; "your daughter" replaces "your bitch" from the original quote.
